Carmen Electra And The Men In Her Life Carmen Electra – actress, dancer, and Playboy model – had been going around, to say the least. Notwithstanding the ending of another failed marriage, let’s take a look into her past relationships – and try to understand what she sees in the men of her life. She admitted to having a fierce crush on Prince, the music prodigy. In 1992 she was spotted by a talent scout, who landed her an audition with Prince as the audience. Prince was looking to assemble and all-girl rap ensemble for his record label, and though she wasn’t tapped for that group, Prince later on wrote her a song for her demo album, called “Carmen on Top” It was because of Prince that she got her now-famous name – born Tara Leigh Patrick, she was renamed Carmen Electra because she “looked like a Carmen”, and Electra was later added as her surname in deference to the Greek tragedy heroine. She had admitted to having a secret passion for Prince – but she never kissed him. Electra had been romantically involved with B-Real of the Latin rap group Cypress Hill. She and the rap star appeared on the Howard Stern Show, talking candidly about their love and sex life. Of course, that relationship also ended. Electra achieved substantial notoriety with her on-off marriage to former NBA basketball player Dennis Rodman from 1998-1999. The wedding took place at Little Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 14, 1998. They divorced nearly six months later on April 6, 1999 Electra and Navarro chronicled their courtship and the months leading up to their wedding on an MTV reality show called “Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen & Dave” in 2003. The couple culminated the show in their wedding – her second, his third – and reception on November 22, 2003. |
