Carmen Electra, known as Tara Leigh Patrick in real life, is a celebrity that is surely the apple of each man’s eye. Her beauty is simply to die for and even during her early ages, it was evident that she was born for stardom and celebrity status.
It was not an immediate impact for Tara Leigh Patrick however. Just like most stars that have made their marks today, Tara Leigh Patrick had her share of hardships and work through to get where she is at today. Originally born on April 20 in White Oak, Ohio, she hails from a family of German, Irish and Native Americans. It was at the young age of 9 where she started to pursue her love and talent for singing and dancing, joining a performance arts school to hone her favorite hobbies and past times. But her large step towards the modeling during her teenage years was the start of a promising career. Having moved to Minneapolis, she became a model for Target, the fruit for her investment in all the things that she loved during those time. This was the start of her colorful career by gaining the needed exposure to which she would eventually continue to work her way to celebrity status, something that she is well-known for today.
Tara moved to Los Angeles in 1992 where she met pop star Prince. Her stunning looks and beauty enticed Prince to sign her up with Paisley Park Records to allow her to start building on her singing career. It was at this point that Tara was encouraged by Prince to change her name to Carmen Electra to gain some impact and momentum with the public to which she agreed. However, the result was not as comforting and everything came down to the fact that looks don’t really make a
singer successful.
While such a debacle can be considered a big blow to anyone’s ego, Carmen’s drive and ambitions took the better of her and served as her inspiration to continue going after the coveted celebrity status. She still continuously appeared in TV shows and posed in magazines to help gain attention and build the proper foundation and building blocks to her eventual rise in the showbiz industry. It will always be remembered that she started to gain notice when she was eventually signed up to star in the popular series in 1997, Baywatch with such niche stars as Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff. From hereon, all the controversies and eyes were closely monitoring Carmen’s beauty and so on.
